Radiant Electric Heat Warranty and Support
Troubleshoot a non-functional heater and submit a warranty claim.
1. Follow the troubleshooting steps
1. Check the Thermostat
Ensure the display is powered on. Turn the setpoint 5°F above room temperature and wait 5 minutes.
Target Temps: SolaRay (175-250°F) | Wall Cove (275-350°F) | Ceiling Cove (350-400°F).
Erratic Control? If the screen is blank or behavior is erratic, please contact the manufacturer (Mysa or Honeywell/Aube) directly for warranty support.
2. Check the Relays
When the thermostat calls for heat, the relay must show an illuminated red light.
No Light? If the thermostat is calling for heat but the relay is dark, the relay likely needs replacement.
3. Measure Surface Temperature
If the thermostat and relay are working, use an Infrared Thermometer (500°F+ capacity) on the center of the panel.
Result: If the reading is room temperature or significantly low, proceed to an Ohm Test.
4. Verify Power (Ohm Test)
If your heater has a “Normal” Ohm reading but is cold/sparked, the issue is likely upstream.
Have an electrician check power connections, transformer, and thermostat voltage.
