Sola Ray Product Reviews
We’ve installed a total of 8 panels in various areas of a mostly open warehouse. Installation is simple, operation is simple, and the warmth is simply nice. I’d consider using these panels at home if I had the need, and especially if I had solar!
Easy to install, easy to operate, and easy on the eye. We have a total of 8 of the 1000w panels installed and they work beautifully. We have ours in a warehouse which is otherwise cold. Standing under them feels nice and it warms up the room over time also.

So far, so good. I put one on the ceiling in the bathroom that had no heat. Works well with the thermostat. Weather is cooling off, but not cold yet; so I am not sure I got the right size-calculation was between two sizes. If I need more heat I would not hesitate to buy the next size up. This type of heat is much cozier than forced air drafts.
We started with a single panel and have added a new panel about once year for the past few years. The three panels installed currently are on the ground floor of our three-story house. Because the lower two floors share the same HVAC it was impossible to keep the ground floor warm in the colder months. Each room now has its own dedicated heat panel so the temperature can be controlled on demand. It’s awesome to sleep under one of these panels so we just purchased our fourth panel to be installed in our master bedroom on the third floor. We love this product!
Awesome heater. We only use it for an hour or two whenever the kitchen gets too cold. When it first comes on it makes a few small popping sounds as it warms up – so you can tell it’s working. After that it is completely silent. It’s a gentle heat, a little warmer on the head than on the feet, but I suspect that if we left it on full-time the floor would also warm up and we wouldn’t notice the temperature differential. It’s nice that it doesn’t take up any floor or wall space. It’s very unobtrusive on the ceiling – most people don’t even notice it.
If you don’t have the luxury of going with in floor radiant heat this is the next best option. Much better heat than forced air or electric baseboard.
I installed this 2′ x 2′ panel on the bathroom ceiling so that when you step out of the shower it’s above you. It does a good job of taking the chill off in winter. Very unobtrusive, low profile and silent.
